Hoping to get a round in this weekend to try out some changes I’ve made at the range. I’ve been working on keeping my takeaways a lot tighter which has really helped with my long clubs but I’ve been blading the shit out of my shorter irons which used to be the more consistent part of my game. About to head to the range now to try and work the bugs out
Big difference between me and you. I dont go to the driving range at all. 200 yd max where I'm at.
My practice is on the course.
That being said, I played today. Back 9 only due to 5 straight days of rain. Bogies every hole until I hooked up with the group in front of me on 16.
They were playing from the tips, so I did as well. 16 is a par three. Parred that. 17 is a par 5. On the green in two, thanks to a hellacious 5 wood as my second. Missed the eagle putt by a foot. Bogied the 18th par 4. Was on in two though. All in all a decent day.

About to head to the course myself. High of 70 today. Thursday we had around 3 inches of snow. Only snow left now is in the shadows. Only in Texas.
Here's a pic of the front yard thursday afternoon.

I’ve played the newer batch of Kirkland brand pro v1 imitators the past two rounds and either my swing and my putting has gone to shit or these balls are the worst. I’ll still play em through the fall since they are less than a dollar a ball but can’t wait to go back to my Bridgestone e6s

I watched a guy on the first tee today talk shit about how Kirkland ball was way better than pro v 1 and how much better he plays them, bla bla bla.
He topped his first shot 20’. Sliced his second harder than I’ve ever seen into the lake. 3 shot made fair way past the reds, barely, not sure why he was teeing off from blues. 6 shots later he was far enough out we could tee off. We waited till he was outta sight though.

Sounds a lot like my front nine haha. I’m not sure if there is even such a thing as an unforgiving golf ball but goddamn it was just so hard to hit those things pure today. I will say they did seem to stick to the greens pretty well when chipping. But it feels like your putting an acorn.

I played like crap too. Not like that guy though. And I don’t care if some one plays terrible. It’s just funny when they talk shit about balls helping their game when they don’t even have consistent play gets.

I played a supersoft on the front nine and some nike thing that I didn’t care for on the back nine. I love the supersoft but they roll for freaking ever even when it falls from space.
