me either - a brother named Marshall9779 posted a pic on botl where he modified the boards to unhook the peltier unit allowing the thermometer to display and fans to run. I'm going to do that soon along with gluing on bands on the door trim and stickers on the glass etc... LOL

Yeah, I've been thinking about doing that too.. but I figure as soon as I do, I'll need the cooling feature again!

Gotta be easier than trying to get the smell of an acid blue out of a wood humi.... Cause that is legitimately impossible.

Just leave the thing opened for a few days and it’ll air out.

Clean it with vinegar (it's an odor neutralizer) and alternate with soap and water, let air out. Then baking soda.

Go to a pet store and pick up some activated charcoal. I had a real stinky plastic like one of those and in about a week the smell was gone.

fill it halfway with water and then put a bunch of cedar chips in it, then leave it open out in the heat. make some wood tea inside, drink the tea and your cooler wont smell like plastic anymore.
