Day 6

Hit up the aloha stadium flea market. Lots of chinese shit and some good eats before heading to the airport to fly to Maui. Picked up the rental scion xb and made our way to Ululanis for shave ice, damn good stuff!!! Checked into airbnb apartment In Kihei and then headed out to a spectacular restaurant, Coconuts! Yummmm

Day 7

First full day in Maui. Start off morning right with some spam sushi (masubi... tatuaje anyone?). After abquick bit we toured a dragonfruit farm, which also grow other tasty fruits as well. So beautiful out in western maui.

After that nabbed some lunch at Aloha mixed plate. Scored some loco moco, two large burger patties topped with gravy and two eggs over a generous helping of rice and a side of furikake seasoned fries. This will satisfy any appetite for daysssss.

After a hearty lunch time for more shave ice!

Them its off to a sunset cruise with an open bar baby! Mai tais, pog drivers, booty shakers and landshark lager for days son!! Saw some whales to.

After this we got the 411 on a place that sells corned beef egg rolls delic!

Day 8

Beach day at Makena beach. Start off with a healthy gas station breakfast of masubi, fried burritos, jalapeño corn dogs, spring rolls and beverages! Beautiful weather and plenty of fun in the water... for 8 hours. I even made a cool sand castle! Left with a killer sun burn that i’d pay dearly for throughout the rest of the trip with some killer swelling that i still have, sigh.

After the beach worked up an appetite so we stopped at Eskimo Candy and got the mixed seafood plate and seafood chowder YUM! Went back to the apartment where i suffered from the burns and some crazy chills and dizziness as a result.

Day 9

Breakfast time! More musibi, one regular, one spicy, one with Portuguese sausage and more malasadas.

After that feast, time to go up up up up up, almost 2mi elevation to national park of Haleakala volcano. What a beautiful drive with tons of switchbacks all the way to the top to look over into the world’s largest volcanic crater.

Lunch truck, Thai me up! Yummy pad thai and drunken noodles with shrimp, damn good cuban coffee truck ran by native Miamian.

Hit up one of several pool side bar/restaurants @ Four Seasons just up the street.
If you're on the other side of the island you'll find the same @ Merriman's.

Want to go on an amazing 5-6hr drive with plenty of turns and scenary. Road to Hana loop in Maui it is! After filling up on that Thai food and cuban coffee i had plenty of amped up caffeinated energy to go go go at full speed baby. Great to have a well handling car to make this drive, but nothing to sporty as the back half was bumpy as hell dirt roads. From rainbow trees to waterfalls and short hikes, what a great time.

We end the day back in Kihei from the volcano and road to hana with some yummy pizza and tiki drinks to relax, ahhhhh carbs are so good.

Day 10

Out to shop around in Paia. Nice quaint little town with tons of small shops = lots of trinkets. I saw this funny beaver hat, i should have got lol.... beaver.... Grabbed a few wooden post cards, stickers, magnets, the usual fare. After walking around for an hour or so, stopped at this place i found on yelp that supposedly makes very good Acai Bowls and smoothies. Man these we delicious and refreshing, hefty in size as well.

After Paia we headed to the Maui Ocean Center / Aquarium. Was a neat little center where they had a live tank you could watch a scuba dude jump in the tank with these huge fish, sharks, rays, etc and talk about them and how the tank is constantly changing as they doctor up some fish and animals, release them back to the wild and repeat. Even had a cool tunnel to go through and look all around. Center also had neat exhibits with sea turtles, tonsssss of coral, and much more. A nice 1-2hr trip.

After day 10 was nearly over. Headed back to Coconuts (only place we went to twice because they are so damn good) and got a smorgasbord of food

Day 11

The last day before traveling back, half day to be specific, maybe a quarter since we slept in hah. Headed to Iao State Park, which had a nice short 10min hike with some awesome views.

How do you finish a trip to Maui? Go to Da Kitchen for some great great great Hawiann food. Deep fried musubi, poi (tasted like unsweetened apple sauce to me), and an assload of seafood fried in panko (fish, shrimp, clams on a huge bed of fries).

Then the sad part, back to the airport. Long ass 24hrs probably of traveling. Maui > Honolulu > Seattle > Minneapolis > Cleveland. Made it back in one piece march 10th, as I am writing this (16 days later) I am corona symptom free haha.
