That's how I feel about montecristo, but sometimes they are surprising depending on what your drinking. What you eat and drink manipulates the flavors you get. Also, there are " flavor wheel " you should check out. I never got it, I taste what I taste, I dont get exclusive but if it tastes like cow shit that's how it's noted. (Your toungue your experience) before you smoke next time find a wheel,, then when you smoke, try finding anything you find complex.? For me, it's like eating a steak. I know what the best cigar ive ever smoked was, and I have some new ones, but they need some aging, which is another thing all together. Ok, I'm drunk ish ttyl.
Don't be afraid of cigar international, they have always done me great, but if you want some exclusives, wait for John. On that note, every cigar you get should be properly hydrated for 2 to 4 weeks before you smoke it. You will understand with time. humidification is king.
