I think a really good briar will smoke better than a corncob, but probably not a huge difference. Plus I find the larger button on most briars to be more comfortable. Most of the corn cobs have small bowls and stems, which I don't like. I have a few larger cobs with better stems which are really good smokers.

Working at the bench while smoking C&D Crowley's Best in a Sasieni 4Dot Ruffroot 2102XL, a bit too much Latakia in this one for me, I prefer Morley's Best as it has much better balance. Only have to smoke through a couple more ounces to kill the sample...
