Hi,
Tom here, long time lover of the leaf from the 'burbs of Chicago. I retired from law enforcement after 30 years in early 2017, and now am a real life Kindergarten Cop, substitute teaching K-8.
My cigar journey started in the mid 80s, but I spent my first 15 years smoking the machine made crap sold behind the counter at the drug store. In the early 2000's, I had my first taste of a properly humidified, man made cigar and the whole experience changed. A couple years later I started smoking Cuban, and at this point probably smoke 98% Cuban, though I can appreciate a good Nicaraguan, Dominican or other cigar.
Besides cigars my interests include playing competitive ice hockey (although that's on hold as I broke my leg playing and had surgery June 5th), motorcycling and weight training (both of those also on hol...as is walking, lol)
Seeing all the introduction threads, I already know many of you, and hope to get to know the rest. Thanks for having me here!
