Pipe lighter

What does everyone use for lighting their pipes? I'm looking at getting a lighter specifically for pipes that is not a Bic (wife keeps stealing them). I'm on a pretty tight budget with a move coming up so looking for something pretty budget friendly but refillable and reliable

industry standard is IM Corona Old Boys, but on the pricey side... yet you will never need another pipe lighter. There are a few in-betweens. Xikar has one called the pipeline. Do a few searches for pipe lighters. Kiribi does a solid one too. That & the classic zippo pipe line

Yup, I use IM Corona old boy to, or Djeep disposable when I don't have that on hand.

Went with the "4th Generation Pipe Lighter" because I'm poor lol. The reviews looked pretty good, scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

I like it so far. Feels pretty sturdy like all metal. It makes fire and burns things so that's good. I'll see how long I cab go without losing it, that seems to be my biggest lighter issue.

The flame comes out the side instead of the top and you don't have to hold the button down and risk burning your thumb. Plus it looks swanky!

I know what they are. I was just curious why use one over a 1$ Bic. I've never had an issue firing a bowl with my bic, except a little soot on the rim. Pipe lighter still do that?

Good Butane has less impurities in it so maybe you’ll get less rim char? Then again the YouTube channel I watch, stuffandthings, uses a bic a lot.

Hmm, interesting. I have two pipe lighters and half the time I just end up using my soft flame butane lighter insert on a zippo. The zippo pipe lighter works, as does the pipe lighter, but I guess I just gravitate to my normal.

The one issue I have with the 4th generation lighter is that there is no way to see how much fuel is left...ran out this morning

Sometimes I hate all of you !!! I know that I can literally buy 100 trusty Bic lighters that I don’t have to buy fuel for on Amazon for the $115 that one of these cost!!! But, now I want one!!!

kiribi lighters are worth a look too... a touch cheaper but ive heard good things

I have a Kiribi Kabuto and would recommend it. It's a very good lighter.

ive been tempted a few times . . i use a xikar pipeline but it gets finnicky here & there - goes through flints way too quick too

It's a great lighter, especially for the money. Just replaced the flint for the first time since purchased a year ago and I use it almost every day!
