Mold?

So I just opened up a tin of gl pease key largo and found this on top. The tin date is 8/18, it dosent look hairy like mold but I couldn't imagine it being sugar crystals being only 4 months old. What do you guys think?

That's mold. Contact smokingpipes.com via email with a picture and they will send a replacement tin. Once that's done, dump the moldy part and jar the rest. It may be still be OK.
