Yeah I get a kick out of "freehand". Most of the time that means they were shooting for something and dimensions were off and they couldn't sell them as "true". Also, MOST pipe makers use a lathe. Even for "freehand"Apple/Egg/Pot mixture with a 1/4 bent saddle.
It seems a lot of carvers currently take extreme liberties with their 'designated' pipe shapes. It seems chart sizes don't mean shit anymore.
The shape just feels right in my hand... Just like the firsts thing I scratch in the morning... My dog's head.
