A couple of new to me today in the Savinelli dual finish. Hermit Tobacco Captain Earle's Reflection, very rich and the Virginia gives it a very nice sweetness, but also bites me a bit. Will let it sit a couple of weeks and revisit. Robert McConnell Oriental also a very rich blend that's heavy on...
Niiiiiiiiiiice! Moretti makes fantastic pipes! Smoke slow with Burley blends to break them in. Morta can heat up quick before you get some cake in the bowl.
Any regular Davidoff white label, Ashton Classic or Cabinet, Avo Classic, Charter Oak, Guardian of the Farm, Quesada, Black Label Royalty, Lawless, and Salvation, Cornelius & Anthony Aerial, off the top of my head.
I got what you were saying. As you know, Morta can heat up more than briar because there is a lot of mineral content in the wood. I'm theorizing that the larger piece has a higher mineral content.
It's the mineral content in the wood, which obviously varies from piece to piece. I think it's more noticeable with the smooth finishes than blasted. I assume while it may heat up quickly, it probably cools just as quickly.
