    Today’s Bowl 2020

Two 3/4 full bowls from last night. Can't remember the first fill in an Ascorti (thanks for that Mr. Alcohol). The 2nd: Mario Grandi / J. Fox Dorisco

Can't speak for the blend, but that's a big sweet pipe!

    Any blenders? Need advice

Sounds good Andy. Guess I'm looking for something to soften that (bad) cigar leaf note. Good to hear you're not a fan either. Maybe my sense of taste isn't so horseshit after all. :giggle:

And, there's the rub. I have no idea what is causing the bad taste. The smoke honestly taste like day old cigar. The culprit should be the cigar leaf, correct?

Yeah, not thinking real straight with that purchase. I enjoy Storm Front, so figured why not. Big oops!

The what are you drinking today thread.

Bale Breaker: Topcutter IPA Airways: Jumbo Juice Me, right before a show stopping belch. I apologized profusely to the table on my right. His wife was busting up so it was all good. Jen was not amused. I'm a 'just do it now apologize later' kind of pig. Also, I'm pushing 50 and don't give...

With my stupidity I could be 20 bowls in before finding something palate worthy. Just attempting to cut out some of the 'trial & error' garbage.

Pipestud Blog entry: Latakia – The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

I've read that soil conditions are not the issue with Latakia. It's the cost of production. To transform leaf into Latakia is very laborious making it cost prohibitive in the US. Though, a lot of jabber talk on the net is just that. Writers could be talking out their asses.

    Favorite Pipe Shape

I can't imagine too many pipers clinch their volcanos. Even a light volcano is over 50g.

Got some John Patton Dark Horse that needs a chaser. Not sure who the culprit would be. I like other cigar leaf blends (Key Largo & Billy Budd). I hold my opinion on most baccies, but this stuff if just too disagreeable. Not sure if its a bad batch or what, and it is not worth shipping to a...

Pipestud Blog entry: Latakia – The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

I follow Steve religiously. Read the article a few times when first released. Try not to harp on things no longer in production; exercise in futility Though, I am very saddened he quit writing baccy reviews for TobaccoReviews.

    Favorite Pipe Shape

Apple/Egg/Pot mixture with a 1/4 bent saddle. It seems a lot of carvers currently take extreme liberties with their 'designated' pipe shapes. It seems chart sizes don't mean shit anymore. The shape just feels right in my hand... Just like the firsts thing I scratch in the morning... My dog's head.

Where did everyone go? Fricken talking to myself over there. Me: Hey Cole, where have you been buddy. Thinking you might have gotten caught up in that nasty storm business down in the Gulf. You OK?? Cole: Listen dipshit, I told you back in Aug to check out SOS. Also, for the last time, will you...
