a draw is definitely going to pierce the wind a bit better and gain a bit of distance too. the problem is - you usually have less control with one. they can turn into hooks pretty quick. its why you see most pros taking the small distance loss and playing a fade that they can control easily

I've tried to do the step through and it's tough for me to accomplish - it just feels so wrong.

i should note - that hanging back is definitely one of my biggest issues that fight. on the days where im able to get my weight shift forward everything works better from wedges up through my driver. on days where I'm struggling I'll probably shoot 1000

The club I'm a member at doesn't have tee times thankfully but the first we're allowed out is 7am. So if I'm going to play solo on the weekend I'm there at 630 (its 20-25 minutes from home). Nothing like being done and on my way home by 1030am though!
