The back end of this upcoming week and the weekend look awesome. Tentatively plan on getting out Thursday - and maybe again on the weekend with the wife.
Played 9 today at an ok course (its great for the wives - fairly flat and open).
shot an amazing 48. Found my driver tho. Just couldn't find anything else. And its still so wet, slow and generally not mowed that I wasn't super upset.
Oh I don't think about it - it just happens enough that I've noticed the trends :) I decided this offseason that I should try to fix it - I've done nothing so far to fix it though :)
hah so I see a few things:
1) a pull that starts left and stays there
2) a relatively straight shot that turns into a steady hook (and i can really feel my hands turn over)
3) a push (while I try to stay down and force the ball to NOT go left)
If I hit it straight its AMAZING.
two way misses are fun! and exactly what I'm fighting. mine is because I'm a goat humper (early extension) and it's gotten bad. my goal this year is to tame that. We'll see if i can get there
WAIT WHAT?!?! aren't you officially western NY? last I saw you were behind us "finger lakes" meaning in general you were opening things re: COVID a week or so behind. I wouldn't have expected carts available yet. lucky you! now to wait on this shit weather to pass
oooh I also golfed last Sunday - first time of the year.
Shot a smooth 97 - with a quad on the last hole.
it was so wet and soft. the walk was TOUGH (flat course too) just slogging around. Golf balls literally disappearing. I pulled three out of the rough that I was super lucky to find...
I'd prefer a GC2 (with HMT for indoors use as well) - but yeahhhh who has 10k+ laying around for either of those :)
Skytrak is a good place to start and seems to hold its value well anyways if i ever have the ability to upgrade I can just resell it!
bahahahah!
I would hit in my garage - but
1) its full of shit
2) its only a 1 car so I'd need to do some sorting out in there to make it work
My hope is someday to get a proper monitor like a skytrak
If you'll note from my previous post I have a plan for that. Normally hitting off mats - you can hit fat shots all the time not know it.
But I'll be accommodating that.
As to scalping your yard for an outdoor hitting mat. How big is it going to be? Won't you have divots everywhere making...
So that was on my list - but again my backyard being a mess means that wont even cut it - so what I did was ordered their 124 dollar version (basically with out the extra heavy backing). Ill be putting that on a platform that i can level out. And then building in my divot action probably...
I have however been working on a net setup for my backyard at least.
Got a net - now to work on a hitting surface.
This will be used in the backyard mostly so I need something that works on grass (not flat surfaces necessarily) so I cant just stick any old mat out there. And the ones that...
Yeah thats where I am as well. My browsing is fairly contained - I dont often end up down rabbit holes. It's like three cigar forums, slack, discord and online shopping.
I've always been into crypocurrency and try to do what I can to keep some privacy to what I'm doing online.
Recently I came across Brave browser (it's not new - but I'm behind on this).
Take a look - it removes MANY of the ways you're tracked on the net. And if you choose it might even reward...
