I need to dig into my corojo wrapper stash again. Marc, I should seek your advice on what to do with it. You really seem to do some amazing stuff

    Leaf Prep

I de stem by folding each leaf in half along the midrib, pinching the midrib with my right hand a couple inches below the tip of the leaf, gently tearing the midrib away from the leaf by wrapping the leaf around my left hand. This method takes a little practice, but it isn't that hard once you...

    Leaf Prep

Prepping some wrapper now, I have some cased binder I can snap pics of later. I open the wrapper leaf and spritz evenly with distilled water, then put them in a plastic bag to come up to case. Since it's hot and this candela is thin, it will be ready to go in a few hours. Will take more pics...

    Leaf Prep

Roll the whole bunch together. Make sure your ligero is placed in the center of the bunch. Try accordion bunching if you can

    Leaf Prep

That should be good enough then. How is your draw and how are you bunching? Probably need to try getting the bunch tighter

    Leaf Prep

Next time I prep and roll I will post pics and my process. How long are you letting your sticks dry in an air box after you roll them before moving to a humi?

    Pulled the Trigger

Just a gentle spritz on one side of the leaf (usually the front, the side you would have facing out when you wrap). Then place in a large trash bag and tie the end and let it sit. You want the water to have a chance to absorb into the leaf completely. The midrib should become flexible as well so...

    Pulled the Trigger

Depends on the binder. Ecuadorian binder a half leaf is strong enough. Nicaraguan binder I still use a half leaf, but cut it in a way that it is two layers thick

I need to break my corojo wrapper out again soon. Been so busy with club cigars I haven't been able to roll anything for myself which is sad

    Leaf prep beyond casing

I'm still a big fan of mojo but I keep it simple and only use it on "harsh" leaf. I did some experiments where I used mojo on everything early on and it made the cigar too smooth. Now I only use it on ligero, and if it is a milder ligero I don't even bother anymore. The pineapple juice needs...

    Blindmanspuff.com homerollers awards

Again, congrats Brendon. Your stuff is tasty for sure. Wish I had access to the current leaf I'm using for the competition, but it was fun. Would love to see something like this happen on a faster timeline here
