Its kinda funny but you just add it to your beer but you don't need to get any juice out of it. It seems to add a nice tang to a wheat beer. I liked it so much I had to learn how to ask for it in German. It might have been a Bavarian thing.
A good German wheat beer taste even better. German law only lets beer have 4 ingredients and its not pasteurized so it has a short shelf life. Way better then any of the shit we brew.
It was only put in wheat beers. Maybe it was more of the town I was stationed in which was Augsburg. Just a little west of Munich and east of Ulm. It did seem to add a certain tang that I likes in my wheat beer. I also liked to swirl it to get the bits off the bottom. A good beer would be a little cloudy.
